Steve Kinnear - President and CEO of Peak Consulting
Steve received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Towson State University in Baltimore, Maryland and while in college he worked in the Wealth Management space at Maryland Financial Group under the tutelage of, renowned Wealth Management Advisor, Lee Warner.
Steve has over 25 years of experience in the Financial Services and Technology Industries having worked for Barclays American Financial, Transamerica Financial Services, Commercial Credit (Citi Group), Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and CGI.
With the boom, in the technology industry, Steve parlayed his knowledge of finance into a bridge that filled the gap between technology and finance for companies like EDS and CGI. In 2002 Steve went out on his own and created Peak Consulting. Recognizing a need for talent, Steve started a Recruiting division to support his Consulting Firm and Peak Consulting - Executive Search was born. Steve's first client, EDS, is still a client 17 years later after two mergers with HP and CSC.
Steve has been married to his wife, Leona for 33 years, has two children, 21 and 19 and a boxer who rules the house. When he is not working, you will find Steve running, swimming, biking or traveling. His best memories are traveling to new places with his family.
Mary Ellen Shotto - VP of Recruiting
Mary Ellen has over 30 years of experience in the recruiting Industry having worked directly for fortune 100 companies in the financial, IT, and education sectors and then recruited for these same companies in IT sales, financial services, corporate infrastructure and a host of other sectors. She has spent the last 10 plus years assisting companies from start-ups to global leaders meet their staffing needs.
She received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Florida and her Master’s degree in Education from California State University. Mary Ellen has a strong commitment to personal and professional lifelong learning and a strong sense of adventure. One of her best ever adventures was her jungle safari trip walking with the Mountain Gorillas in Africa.
Steve Rooke - Vice President of Executive Search
Steve has over 30 years of experience in the IT Services Industry on both the Sales and Operations sides of the business. He has led global teams for EDS, CSC, DXC, Fujitsu and Accenture. Steve’s experience has spanned Sales, Sales Leadership, Executive Partner, COO, CFO and VP Corporate Controller with some of the largest IT Services Companies in the world.
In 2017, Steve moved from the client side of the IT Services business to the Executive Search and Recruiting side and brings with him 30+ years of experience serving this market.
Steve is a CPA and holds a business degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Ottawa.

Deb brings to Peak Consulting 20 years of experience in IT Services Recruiting spanning Sales, Sales Leadership and Delivery roles across Healthcare, Banking & Financial Services, Media & Telcom, Manufacturing, Hi-Tech, Consumer & Retail, Travel & Transportation, Oil and Gas and more.
Deb leads our Team of Recruiters in India and is instrumental in delivering success to our North American clients.
Deb has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Bengal. He is married and the proud father of his first daughter born in 2020.
